Concordia head coach Terry Horan announced that offensive coordinator Jake Pollock has been promoted to assistant head coach. Pollock completed his fifth season with the Cobbers in the fall of 2025. He started as the offensive line coach in 2021 and was named the offensive coordinator in 2023.
Concordia senior Noah Lacey (Sparks, Nev./Spanish Springs HS) was named to the D3football.com All-American Fourth Team.
Sam Dioszeghy, Mason Hughes and Noah Lacey were all named to the D3football.com All-Region 6 Second Team. It is the second straight year for Dioszeghy to receive the honor.
It was another double-digit total of MIAC All-Conference and All-Conference Honorable Mention award winners for Concordia. The Cobbers had 11 players earn MIAC postseason honors marking the fourth straight season that Concordia has had at least 10 student-athletes receive All-Conference of All-Conference Honorable Mention honors.
Concordia sophomore running back Mason Hughes (Glendale, Ariz./Pinnacle HS) was named the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week after his standout rushing performance in the Cobbers’ season-ending win at Carleton.
A monster rushing game, a huge defensive goal line stand and an ESPN Sports Center Top 10 highlight catch were the key ingredients in Concordia’s 31-24 win at Carleton in the final game of the 2025 season.
You can add another MIAC Defensive Player of the Week certificate to the portfolio of sophomore Kyle Mages. For the second time in the last three weeks, Mages earned the conference weekly honor for his outstanding performance in a Concordia road win.
The Cobbers proved that the old sports cliché of, “it’s not how you start the race, it’s how you finish” is still true to this day. Concordia was held scoreless for three quarters of play at Macalester, trailed the Scots 14-3 with 9-minutes left, but then rallied to come away with a 17-14 win.
Concordia honored its 15 seniors before its 2025 home finale against No.4-ranked Bethel. The Cobbers gave up multiple points in the second and third quarters and lost 55-9 to the unbeaten Royals.
Concordia sophomore linebacker Kyle Mages (Osakis, Minn.) was named the MIAC Defensive Player of the Week for his outstanding performance in the Cobbers’ 26-7 win at Augsburg on Saturday.
Concordia raced out to a 20-point head start in its game at Augsburg and sprinted to a 26-7 win in a match-up of teams that were tied for fourth place in the conference standings.
Concordia-Moorhead faced a tough test Saturday against nationally ranked Saint John’s, as the Johnnies’ balanced attack and opportunistic defense pulled away for a 41–6 victory. Despite a hard-fought effort and several promising drives, the Cobbers were unable to keep pace with Saint John’s speed and execution on both sides of the ball.
Concordia rushed for a season-high 445 yards and cruised to a 58-12 win at Hamline. The Cobbers scored on four of their first five possessions and recorded seven rushing TDs in posting their third straight win.
The weekly honors keep coming in for Davion Henderson (Jr., Aurora, Colo./Grandview HS), who followed up his MIAC Offensive Player of the Week award with being named to the D3football.com National Team of the Week.

Junior wide receiver Davion Henderson recorded a school-record 211 receiving yards and led the the Cobber offensive parade as they beat St. Scholastica 49-21 in the annual Homecoming game.
